On October 20, 2008, up to 40 golfers will risk sunstroke, exhaustion, blisters and downpours as they chase, hack, chip, putt and slice their way to 100 holes of golf in a day at Langdon Farms Golf Club. You can be part of the action by sponsoring a golfer.
Proceeds from the 6th Annual Golf Marathon will benefit more than 48,000 local youth members of the Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America, providing quality outdoor programs that focus on leadership, character development and community service. You can sponsor a golfer at $1.00, $2.00, or even $5.00 per hole. Or if you prefer, donate a flat amount for the entire marathon. For only $150 you can enjoy corporate recognition using your corporate logo or name at your very own hole as a hole sponsor. Donations are fully tax deductible.
Any golfer crazy enough to attempt 100 holes of golf in a day.
Raise pledges for the 6th Annual Golf Marathon.
Monday, October 20, 2008, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Beautiful Langdon Farms Golf Club.
To provide quality character-building programs for local kids.
Play a couple of balls per hole, repeat your favorite hole, bring a caddie to help you keep going, shoot for quantity not quality...
Each golfer is invited to raise $2,500 in pledges
(or $10,000 per foursome) to support local
Scouting programs. As a “thank you” from the
council, each golfer will receive a golfer gift pack
and prizes based on the pledges secured. The day
begins with a buffet breakfast in the clubhouse
before the shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Box lunches are served at noon, as well as drinks and snacks throughout the day for both golfers and caddies.
